Summer in Lincolnshire is all about enjoying the simple things. Long evenings, countryside walks, family days out and, of course, an ice cream on a warm afternoon.

Here at Stax Of Wax Ltd, we're incredibly proud to work alongside other independent Lincolnshire businesses, which is why we've been delighted to collaborate with Bensley's Homemade Ice Cream for some time now.

It's a collaboration built on shared values – quality, craftsmanship and a passion for producing local food that people genuinely enjoy.

Supporting Local Matters

As a family-run beekeeping business based near Louth, we've always believed that supporting local businesses benefits everyone.

When local businesses work together, customers discover unique products, independent businesses continue to grow, and our communities remain full of the character and quality that make Lincolnshire such a wonderful place to live and visit.

Whether we're supplying holiday cottages with welcome gifts, working with local retailers or collaborating with fellow food producers, we're always proud to champion local businesses.

To us, supporting local isn't just about buying local. It's about building relationships, sharing ideas and helping one another succeed.

Supporting More Than Just Local Products

Our collaborations aren't always about products that can be bought.

In May 2026, we worked together to mark World Bee Day, bringing our businesses together to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators and the environments they rely on. As part of the initiative, we gave away free wildflower seeds to customers, encouraging people to create small areas of additional forage for bees and other pollinators.

For us, this is what local collaboration is really about — supporting one another as businesses while also finding ways to give something back to the environment and the communities around us.

It's about recognising that local businesses can work together to do more than simply sell products. We can share knowledge, support our local environment and encourage others to take small steps that benefit the countryside around us.

Meet Bensley's Homemade Ice Cream

Based near Louth, Bensley's Homemade Ice Cream has built a fantastic reputation for producing delicious handmade ice cream using quality ingredients.

Like us, they're a family-run business that takes pride in creating something special for local people and visitors to enjoy. Their ice cream has become a popular stop for families exploring the Lincolnshire countryside, and we're delighted that our honey has become part of that story.

What really stands out about Sarah and Mark is their commitment to supporting other local businesses. Their support doesn't stop with us – they're always keen to champion fellow independent producers, helping introduce customers to some of the fantastic food and drink being made right here in Lincolnshire.

More Than One Collaboration

Our partnership has grown in more ways than one.

Not only do Bensleys stock our Lincolnshire honey, allowing even more people to discover our products, but they also introduced us to another wonderful local producer – the talented fudge maker behind our Lincolnshire Honey Fudge.

That single introduction led to another local collaboration, creating yet another product

we're proud to offer our customers.

It's a perfect example of how independent businesses can help one another grow. One conversation can lead to a new partnership, a new product and new opportunities for everyone involved.

A Flavour Made with Local Honey

Lincolnshire honey become part of Bensleys' delicious Ginger & Honey Ice Cream.

One of the highlights of our collaboration has been seeing our Lincolnshire honey become part of Bensleys' delicious Ginger & Honey Ice Cream.

The gentle sweetness and delicate floral notes of our honey work beautifully alongside the warmth of ginger, creating a flavour that's both comforting and refreshing—a perfect example of how two locally produced ingredients can complement one another.

Knowing that the honey collected by our bees is being enjoyed in such a creative way is something we're incredibly proud of.

Looking Ahead

One of the best things about working with other independent businesses is that ideas never stand still.

We're already chatting with the team at Bensley's about developing another honey-inspired flavour in the future. While it's still in the planning stages, we're excited about the possibilities and can't wait to see where the collaboration leads.

Watch this space… there may be another Lincolnshire-inspired flavour arriving before too long!

It All Starts with the Bees

Every spoonful of honey has its own journey.

Months before it reaches a jar, our bees are collecting nectar from hedgerows, wildflowers and the changing landscapes of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Every season influences the flavour, colour and character of the honey they produce.

It starts with the bees, a frame of honey being held up

More Than Just Honey and Ice Cream

Collaborations like this are about far more than creating great flavours.

They're about supporting independent Lincolnshire businesses, celebrating local produce and giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy food with a real story behind it.

Every time someone chooses local, they're helping family businesses like ours continue caring for bees, producing quality honey and investing back into the local community.

That's something we're incredibly grateful for.

We'd like to thank Sarah and Mark at Bensley's Homemade Ice Cream for their continued support, for stocking our honey, introducing us to another fantastic local producer, and for believing in the value of working together.
