Is your honey raw?

Yes.
Our honey is taken straight from the hive and handled as gently as possible. We don’t overheat it or process it heavily, because we want to keep it as close to how the bees made it as we can.
Sometimes you’ll see it set or crystallise — that’s completely natural, especially in a product like ours.

What’s the difference between runny honey and soft set honey?

The main difference is texture. Runny honey has a smooth, flowing consistency, while Soft Set Honey has a thicker, creamy texture that is easy to spread. Both are natural honey; the difference comes from the way the honey crystallises and is prepared.

Some people choose local honey because it contains pollen from nearby plants, but everyone is different and experiences vary.
We always say: enjoy it as a natural food first.

We produce a small range of Lincolnshire honey from our own hives, including Runny Honey, Soft Set Honey and Cut Comb Honey when the season allows. Each has its own character, depending on the flowers our bees have been visiting and the time of year it was harvested.

Where is your honey from?

Our honey comes from our own bee hives in and around Louth and the Lincolnshire Wolds. Our bees forage across the changing Lincolnshire landscape, visiting seasonal flowers, hedgerows, trees and wildflowers. This means the honey reflects the places and seasons in which it was made.

What is cut comb honey?

Cut Comb Honey is honey presented in its natural beeswax comb. The bees make the wax cells, fill them with honey and seal them when the honey is ready. We carefully cut the comb from the frame, giving you honey just as the bees stored it in the hive. The beeswax comb can be eaten along with the honey.

It really comes down to how you like to enjoy your honey. Choose Runny Honey if you love a smooth, flowing honey for drizzling over porridge, yoghurt or toast. Soft Set Honey is ideal if you prefer a creamy, spreadable texture. And if you'd like to experience honey in its most natural form, Cut Comb Honey combines the honey with the edible beeswax comb.
